Flock of sheep forced to swim out of their flooded shed after Yorkshire rainstorms
This astonishing video shows 155 sheep swimming in three-foot-deep water after flash flooding forced them to evacuate their deluged shed in Yorkshire.
The footage was taken at a farm in North Yorkshire on Saturday (March 16), when a month's worth of rain fell in the space of 24 hours in some places.
Flock owner Jessica Moran, 35, said monsoon-like conditions caused water to run from a nearby field into the shed containing her animals.
When she got to them, some lambs, including one which was only hours old, were floating with just their heads visible above the water surface.
Jessica rallied seven friends and family members to help usher the sheep to higher ground and admits it was only then that she realised the sheep were able to swim.
