The fishermen are processing food from giant jellyfishes
Video captured the moment of the fishermen are processing food from giant jellyfishes in Ha Tinh Province, Viet Nam.
Jellyfish is one of the special dishes of fishermen in the central provinces of Vietnam. Giant jellyfishes appear and drift to the coast of central Vietnam provinces from February to April each year. Fishermen will pick up the jellyfish and cut their legs to prepare food. Jellyfish with poisonous thorns will cause itching so these fishermen are very careful when picking them up from the sea.
The parts of jellyfish used will be washed in brine and processed into salads.
The parts of processed jellyfish cost 1 USD/1 kg.
