Police intervened after a man was shot in the head on the street in a Los Angeles district early Friday morning (March 22).

LAFD intervened following reports of a man injured with a gunshot wound in Koreatown. About ten shots were heard near the scene according to witnesses.

According to police, a man was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. He was conscious while he was being transported, but his condition was not confirmed.

The filmer wrote: "The suspect fled the scene but was later reported to have been apprehended nearby when officers at the scene of the shooting received notice of the suspect being in the vicinity."

LAFD responded to a reported gunshot wound victim located following reports of about 10 shots heard near the location. Arriving crews located a male victim shot an unknown number of times. The victim was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene but was later reported to have been apprehended nearby when officers at the scene of the shooting received notice of the suspect being in the vicinity.
