War cries echoed from New Zealanders as they performed a war dance called the 'haka' during a tribute to the family of the victims of the Christchurch terrorist attack on the Al-Noor Mosque.

According to the filmer, it was one of the largest haka tributes for the victims, being held at South Hagley Park on March 20, close to where the shooting had taken place five days earlier.

The haka is a dance traditionally used on the battlefield and described by the filmer as: "A New Zealand tradition of the Māori that expresses gathering strength and peace."
