A father played a prank on his kids where they had the opportunity to win $25 by getting a puzzle wrong.

After seeing a similar Facebook video online, the dad pre-loaded the other cups with $25 before sitting the kids down and showing them which cup he puts the $5 under.

The daughter outsmarted the father, taking a risk by choosing a cup without the $5 under it, and gained for herself $25.

The son wasn't so lucky, having picked the cup he knew had $5 causing him to lose out on the $25. They played the game today (March 26) at their family home in Gosford, Australia.

After seeing a similar video on Facebook, Jacob Strickling thought he'd try the money in the cup prank with his own kids.
Jacob Strickling first preloaded two cups with $25 in each (Five $5 notes). His first 'victim' was his 11 year old daughter Mikalah. She sat down at the cups and then he put a $5 note under the empty cup. He then randomly switched the cups around while Mikalah carefully kept track of the loaded cup.
Mikalah was smarter than her Dad gave her credit for and knowing that he was a bit of a trickster she suspected that there was more to the game than he was letting on. So Mikalah took a risk and chose a different cup then the one with the $5 note and so scored for herself $25!
Samuel (ten years old) was up next. Unfortunately for him, he kept his eyes very carefully in the $5 cup and chose 'correctly'. He thought it was a bit of a hoot when he realised the other two cups each had much more money.
