The M25, a motorway encircling almost all of Greater London, has been closed in Hertfordshire in both directions due to a serious crash around midday on Wednesday (March 27).

In the video shot around 2PM GMT, we can see emergency services working on site, long queues of vehicles and drone footage showing the M25 closed and traffic jams on alternative roads.

The collision involved two cars and a truck. An elderly man and woman were seriously injured and were rushed to hospital by air ambulance following the crash.

The accident occurred at junction 20 near Kings Langley. The highway is closed clockwise between junction 19 and 21.

There are significant delays on the roads and police said that the motorway is likely to be closed for several more hours.
