Rescue workers in Thailand used a crane to save a kitten that was trapped under a motorway on March 22.

Motorist Narada Kiatthanasombut noticed the hapless moggy trembling on a ledge under the highway in Bangkok, Thailand, and called the emergency services who arrived with machinery to help.

It is not known how the cat became stuck on the ledge. A worker was lifted up on a crane and slowly coaxed the kitten to safety.

Narada has since decided to adopt her and take care of her after the rescue, commenting: ''The cat deserves a good home. I will look after her and make sure she's safe.''
