A Los Angeles driver on Saturday afternoon hit a bus stop before slamming into a fire hydrant which sent a huge jet of water shooting into the air.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene in Faircrest Heights and managed to shut off the hydrant which they feared might send water pouring over live wires which were exposed when the white sedan hit the bus stop.

LOS ANGELES – On 03/30/2019 at about 4:30 a.m., LAFD responded to a vehicle vs a hydrant in the 2000 block of South La Cienega Blvd in the neighborhood of Faircrest Hights.

Arriving crews located a white sedan crashed into a fire hydrant and a bus stop.

The hydrant was sheared off and a large geyser was flooding the roadway.

Firefighters shut down the hydrant and removed the vehicle. Power at the location was temporarily shut down due to the water from the hydrant possibly pouring on top of live wires that were exposed when the car crashed into the bus stop.
