A leopard which had entered a residential area in western India’s Maharashtra’s state, was finally rescued after two hours.

Footage showed police officers carrying a sack with the tranquilised leopard on top of it.

Earlier, chaos ensured after the leopard was seen in a residential area. The predator was seen frequenting inside a densely populated area in Marol, located in Andheri (east).

CCTV footages showed a lone leopard running.

Reports said the animal was found sleeping under a car.

Last month, a leopard was found roaming near Korum Mall in Thane district.

Leopards are seen frequenting residential areas from time to time in Maharashtra as the forest in the state plays home to these animals.
