A confused boy stabbed at his cereal on April Fool's morning before he realised that the hardened cereal was a part of a prank set up by his mother.

According to the mother, her son was hard to trick, but says when it came to this successful prank: "He fell for it hook, line and sinker". The prank lead to the son no longer letting his mother pour his cereal.

The trick required some preparation, the bowl of cereal was left to harden in the freezer the night before. To make the breakfast look inconspicuous, pieces of cereal were sprinkled on top the next morning as well as a small splash of milk.

My son is a hard one to prank, we came across this idea and knew we had to do it. He fell for it hook, line and sinker. He also doesn’t let me pour his cereal anymore!

I poured a bowl of cereal the night before and put it in the freezer. Then the next morning I just put a few more pieces on the top and a little bit more milk before my son came up for breakfast.
