A video shows a girl plays with a crocodile on her bed. The video was taken by Syahrul Effendi, her father in Tangerang, Indonesia circa March 2019.

The girl named Maharani is a 3 year and 3-month-old girl from Tangerang City, Indonesia. In her environment, she was known with interaction with animals, especially crocodiles and phyton.

Her love for animals was decended from her father, Syahrul Effendi who also loves to take care some animals. Syahrul even often buy animals from previous owners or in the pet market to save and cure the wound.

One of that animal is a crocodile. Syahrul said, eight months ago he went to Jatinegara Animal Market in Jakarta and saw the 80 cm long crocodile with many wounds on its body.

"I felt bad with to the crocodile and wanted to save it. Its price was actually GBP 39, but the seller accepted a barter with my GBP 22 birds that I brought at the time," Syahrul said.

He later took home the crocodile and take care of it, and its wound were slowly cured.

One month after the crocodile came, the then 2 years Maharani started to interact with the reptile. Since that time, her interaction with the reptile is inseparable. Maharani take it to the bath room when she is taking a bath, waiting in the kitchen, playing outside, even during sleeping.

"I still believe that the crocodile is a predatory animal, but I also get info that it can be domesticated. Months living together with it, they show that they love each other," Syahrul added.
