This video shows the commitment and dedication of a community group based in the north of England removing plastic and rubbish from the beach during one of their regular beach cleans. Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group encourages members of the public to join in every four weeks. The group, which is a registered charity, was formed almost 10 years ago and in 2014 received a Queens Award for Voluntary Service which is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK and is equivalent to an MBE for volunteer groups. The group has recently launched their straw campaign which encourages local businesses to swap plastic straws for paper straws and has been extremely popular.
