This was the moment a US anti-abortion preacher delivered a sermon on a packed Sydney commuter train on April 1.

The preacher Phillip Blair, founder and director of the Torch of Christ Ministries based in Los Angeles was onboard this packed train as part of the church's missionary work.

"Repent Sydney for your sin! There's power in the name of Jesus to repent your life. I care about you!" he says on the train.

But the sermon gets a frosty reaction from some commuters, with one seated commuter telling him to "just shut up!" while he is talking.

"My opinion is the truth!" Blair responds.

"No one wants to hear it, bro!" a female commuter later says.

The video was filmed by a fellow preacher colleague of Blair's.

Blair explained to Newsflare: "Our main goal is to take the light of Christ into all the world.

"The organization focuses mostly on evangelism and missionary work in hard-to-reach areas.

"I believe the world needs more love, hope, encouragement, and purpose."
