A video of an unlikely friendship between a buffalo and a dog has emerged. The incident was filmed on March 12 in the Punjab state’s Bathinda city.

Visuals showed the dog checking on a buffalo, who was sitting inside its shed. The dog soon runs and picks up a bundle of grass and goes to meet its friend.

Sensing the dog’s activity, the buffalo too stood up and waited patiently for its little friend to place the grass for it to eat as footage showed the dog climbing a raised platform and placing the grass neatly.

Though animal from different species does not always make good friends, there are several videos proving otherwise.

In a different incident, a baby monkey was seen riding on top of a female dog.

Reports said the dog rescued the primate after it was attacked by a pack of dogs. The primate has lived with her since.
