Driver Reverses When Elephant Blocks Road
A driver had to hit the reverse pedal and make a hasty retreat when a huge elephant wandered onto the road. Tina Roongarn, 27, was driving through a country road in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, when she noticed the jumbo on April 6. She paused briefly but wasn't taking any chances - and slowly reversed her pick-up truck to avoid frightening the wild elephant. Tina said: ''I drive through the forest quite a lot but its rare to see an elephant in the road. I didn't want to risk disturbing it so I just tried to keep a distance and wait for it to leave.''
