This is the stunning moment an SUV knocked down a bus after a collision on a road in north India yesterday (April 9).

A CCTV camera at a toll plaza in Muzzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh state, captured a white SUV hitting a bus side-on, while it was trying to cross the road.

The bus, which was hit on its left side, flipped over almost immediately from the impact. A toll gate employee ran to safety and the bus driver and a few passengers crawled out of the shattered windshield.

Local police rushed to the spot and shifted eight injured passengers to a nearby government hospital. All are said to be out of danger.

Police said the SUV was totalled and the driver was also injured. They have filed a case and are probing the incident.
