This is the horrifying moment a man fell to his death as flames ripped through one of Thailand's biggest shopping malls this afternoon (April 10).

The victim fell from the eighth floor window of the CentralWorld building in Bangkok, Thailand, in a desperate bid to climb out and escape the inferno which started at around 5:40 pm.

Two other people are believed to have been killed in the blaze while several more were injured.

A massive cloud of black smoke billowed into the sky after the inferno started on the hotel's eighth floor. Thousands of people were evacuated from the complex in Bangkok’s central shopping district as fire crews try to tackle the blaze.

The CentralWorld management said that the fire started in a smoke ventilation duct on the eighth floor of the shopping centre, which stands adjacent to Centara Grand at CentralWorld hotel.

It is one of the busiest buildings in central Bangkok and popular among locals and tourists.
