Aerial view of huge smoke plume from collapsed North Carolina building
Firefighters desperately douse a smoking building with water as a reported gas leak caused an explosion and partial building collapse in North Carolina.
The filmer recorded the results of the blast from his office in downtown Durham at around 10:30 this morning (April 10)
Spokesman Wil Glenn announced on the official Durham police Twitter that the explosion was a result of a contractor boring under the sidewalk hit a 2-inch gas line.
According to local news reports, one person has been killed and an additional 15 have been injured.
