Car Crosses Centre Line during Police Chase Dashcam footage New Zealand

Buy video

Car crosses centre line during Police Chase and almost collides head on with vehicle travelling in correct lane.

Returning home from Capri Car Club All Ford Day in Palmerston North, the closest to a bad crash we have ever been when an absolutely f-tard in a (we learnt later) stolen car came onto our side of the road over double yellow lines and the wrong side of deliminators, doing well in excess of 100kph. We had a vehicle beside us and could not go too far to our left until we were clear of that.

Quote from my husband who was driving "I didn't really feel anything at the time, as just went into emergency mode and was looking for somewhere to go. Only really noticed how close it was later on looking at the video, or more exactly the stills as even on the video at real time it's just over too quick. Given the speeds involved (if impact had occurred we are at 96, the offender easily 125 - 130, if not more) I fancy our odds in a solid Falcon vs a Mazda, it wouldn't have been pretty for anyone though."
