I arrived at Manchester Piccadilly at around 1:10pm and the station was already being evacuated with a large crowd already outside the main doors and people still being ushered outside from the station, people looked worried and confused and there were staff and police present. I overheard one person say police were looking for a man dressed all in black, then another person said they heard that they’d found something suspicious and then another person told me it was just a fire alarm, later confirmed and caused by a incident in the restaurant. We were outside for around 20 minutes before staff were allowed back in first then the rest of us.
