This is the horrific moment a bull trampled a group of devotees at a local religious function in northern India.

In the clip, which was filmed on Monday (April 15th) in Delhi, a man dressed as the Hindu god Shiva rides through a crowd of people on the bull.

Suddenly, the animal suddenly gets spooked and starts trampling on the devotees.

Incredibly, no-one was seriously injured in the incident.

Bulls and cows are widely used at religious events in India where they are considered sacred.

In the video captured, it can be seen that a man dressed as the Hindu God 'Shiva' arrives on a bull which is known as the vehicle of God.

The devotees watch this extraordinary performance with devotion, as, within a spur of the moment, the bull goes berserk and starts jumping.

The nervous bull jumps to escape from the venue and trampled the devotees sitting on the ground on the way.

Nobody was seriously injured and a major accident was averted luckily.
