Extinction Rebellion activist ignores police and gets arrested in London
A man protesting at one of the locations in London ignores the approached police and covers his ears before he gets arrested under section 14 of the UK law. The video was taken in Oxford Circus.
He covered his ears a few seconds before I started to record and while the police were approaching him. Therefore, this was the polices reaction after just a minute of trying talking to him.
The reaction of the public was cheerful since this protest is about civil disobedience. On that day approx. 40-50 people got arrested at that location while I was there for 2-3 hours. No one got hurt (based on my knowledge) and it’s about being non-violent even if people get arrested
