A pensioner who lives next to Southend Airport has told of her shock at 50 planes a day driving past her back garden

A fuming OAP claims her life has been turned into a nightmare after an airport revamp has led to up to 50 jets a day taxiing before take off - at the bottom of her garden.

Janet Marchant, 67, has lived in a bungalow next to Southend airport in Essex for seven years without a major problems. However after a new taxiing strip was introduced dozens of aircraft were left passing within 150 feet of her back garden from 6.00am and 11.00pm every day.
