The festival is held every year in Bac Giang province in March. Ten teams will attend the festival " Walking and Cooking". The mission of the teams is to cook rice while walking into a circle within ten minutes.
Each team can only use up to two bundles of firewood. There are four members in each team. Two male members will be responsible for carrying the rice pot. Two female members are tasked with holding the burning firewood to cook rice. Within 10 minutes, the team that cooks the rice quickly will win.
Because there is no fixed fire to cook, and it must be moved to cook, the game requires skill as well as how to adjust fire to avoid burning rice.
