Twin Bullock cart race held in southern India.

Tirupattur Poomayi amman flower Festival celebrated with Twin bullock cart race.                                     In Sivagangai District of Tirupattur Poomayi amman temple 85th year Flower festival was celebrated in which Twin bullock cart Race was held. The Race being held for 34 years. In this race Nadumadu and Poonchittu madu race  was held yesterday evening. Periya madu and karichan madu race held today morning. In four divisions 49 pairs of  bulls were participated.  In Middle bulls type 10 pairs of bulls were participated. First prize received by the pair bulls of  Tirupattur Union AIADMK Student wing leader krishnapatti Thirugnanam, 2nd prize received by pair bulls of Tirupattur Devarambur Ramanathan, 3rd prize received by pair bulls of Abdul kadhar and 4th prize received by pair bulls of kundenthalpatti pavatharani. In Poonchittu division 12 pairs were participated in which 1st prize received by pair bulls of Vellanayakkanpatti Ramaiya Ilankatchi, 2nd prize received by pair bulls of Nagarampatti Vaidya, 3rd prize received by pair bulls of pudupatti  Rudradevi and 4th prize received by pair bulls of chinnamankulam Azhagu.      In periyamadu division 7 bulls were participated in which 1st prize received by pair bulls of  Sivagangai District Viramathi Thaiyalnayaki, 2nd prize received by pair bulls of Mampatty Parivallal, 3rd Prize received by pair bulls of  Vetrivayal Sundaresan and 4th prize received by pair bulls of Koothalur sathiya.         In karichanmadu division 20 pairs were participated in which 1st prize received by pair bulls of Trichy Anbil Nachiyappan, 2nd prize received by pair bulls of Nagarampatti Vaidya, 3rd prize received by pair bulls of Kundenthalpatti pavatharani and 4th prize received by pair bulls of Chokklingaputhur sakthi. Amount of Rs 2,35,400 distributed  for 4 divisions. The arrangement was made by  Poomayi panthaya committee. In this function Tirupattur MLA K. R. Periyakaruppan, Indusrilist M. R. Pannerselvam, Ex AIADMK ondriya Leader karu Chidambaram, Indusrilist RVkGroups Ramakrishnan and others participated and distributed prizes for winners.
