At least two journalists were injured by police during a protest on Thursday in Bogota, Colombia against government plans to decrease the education budget and change pensions.

A video, which was filmed at around 4 pm local time shows chaotic scenes as police clear protesters from Bolivar Square with batons and tear gas.

Then, a slowed-down section of the same clip shows a riot police officer approach a retreating man from behind and hit him over the head with the handle of his baton

Moments later, as the dazed man stumbles away from the square for treatment, he confirms to the filmer that he is a member of the press

Also waiting for treatment is another journalist with a press pass hanging around his neck who has blood seeping from his mouth and leg.
