Doctors, activists float giant installation made out of plastic bottles in a bid to tackle water pollution and educate mass in Western India

In a bid to tackle river pollution and educate the society about the same, a team of doctors and environmental activists made a giant poster out of plastic water bottle and floated it on Tapti river in western India's Gujarat state.

The incident took place on Apr 28.

Visuals showed the giant installation in the shape of Am I A Dustbin? floating on the river. The installation was made out of 4,000 plastic bottles

The exercise was initiated and conducted by Climate Conscious Network, a collective operating from Surat city.

Meanwhile, a team of scuba divers collected and removed at least 25 kilograms of plastic waste from waterbed in southern India.

Both the exercise were conducted to commemorate World Earth Day, which takes places annually on Apr. 22.
