The Canadian airline Westjet flew one of their beautiful state of the art Dreamliners to Europe for the first time ever today, inaugurating their Boeing 787-9 transatlantic service between Calgary, Canada and London Gatwick, UK. ✈️

The 29th April 2019 marked the introduction of Westjet's transatlantic Boeing 787-9 service, connecting Calgary and London. This route was previously operated using a much older Boeing 767 aircraft, but from now on the much more modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner will fly this route. In this video you'll see the first ever landing of one of Westjet's 787s at Gatwick Airport (LGW/EGKK), C-GUDH arriving slightly behind schedule as WJA1/WS1. After about 2 hours on the ground, the stunning aircraft was ready to depart back to Calgary - refuelled, cleaned, catered and filled with many excited aviation enthusiasts, media personnel and pax! Before long it lined up on runway 08R and was cleared for takeoff:D
