Battle of a Texas Tarantula and a Tarantula Hawk Wasp
This video from August 2018 was taken by author Alan Small in Fort Worth Texas, at Marion Sansom Park. Alan was leading a group of elementary students on a hike during their weekly Nature Club meeting, when they happened to witness the tarantula being attacked on the trail. The wasp crawls across Alan’s feet, but didn’t sting anybody except the spider.
(Post video: After the spider was fully paralyzed, the wasp dragged it to a stone wall and stuffed it under the foundation.)
