Delighted children play in the snow on Mount Fuji in Japan
This is the beautiful moment children experience snow for the first time - playing with snowballs and sliding down an icy hill.
The youngsters were all on holiday to the Japan when they went on a day trip to the iconic volcano in Shizuoka Prefecture on April 12.
While groups of adults crowded viewing platforms to take in stunning views of Fuji, the youngsters were more excited at the sight of the soft white snow, which was left over from winter before the area thawed in the spring.
The kids were filmed experiencing the joys of snowball fights and sliding down a mound of snow. One man even took a tumble himself as he tried to get used to the slippery surface.
Tour guide Matsuko, who was taking the tourists all from areas near to Guangzhou in the south of China, said: ''I asked on the bus if anyone had played in the snow before and none of the children had. They were very excited to see snow for the first time.
''I have brought several groups here and it’s often the same. The children all love playing in the snow and they barely notice the volcano.''
Mount Fuji, which means no exhaustion, last erupted more than 300 years ago. in 1707. However, it is still considered as active by geologists.
Snow covers the tip for around nine months of the year while snow can be found on the lower parts of the mountain in the winter and early spring months.
