An unusual video has emerged of a man charming a spectacled boa constrictor snake in a bizarre form of ‘deforestation protest’.

The footage, shot on Sunday close to the Rio Amazonas in Brazil, shows the snake wearing a tiny pair of green-tinted sunglasses bursting balloons held in the man’s mouth.

The brave man involved, named Arteval Duarte, calls himself the 'Ninja of Serpents'.

"It [the videos] is a form of protest against deforestation, which is overdone in the region. I live in the countryside, and it was very common to find these animals, but today it is difficulty because their habitat is destroyed. These animals need the forest to have food. No forest and they die or migrate", Duarte told local media.
