Baby elephant sustains injuries after falling down hill, rescued by forest officials in north east India
An elephant calf was critically injured after falling down from a hill at Rani area near Guwahati city, located in Assam’s Kamrup district. The incident took place on May 1.
According to the reports, locals had found the injured male elephant calf in the jungle area near Chatar village and immediately informed the forest officials.
A team of doctors and forest officials had rushed to the area and provided adequate treatment.
Locals suspected the elephant calf received severe injuries after falling down from the nearby hills area.
