Rare Lapwing Birds nesting in the early springtime
Lapwings used to be a common bird in the UK but now because of the destruction of their habitats lapwings have declined rapidly making them an endangered species in the UK.
Footage shows a pair of lapwings nesting in a farmer's field in the Eden Valley Cumbria and sitting tight on a clutch of eggs despite the heavy downpour. Their impressive crest and the Beautiful iridescent colour on the wing feathers are showing well.
