After hitting the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh today (May 3), Cyclone Fani is due to hit West Bengal tomorrow, causing rail staff in the state to take extreme precautions.

The railway department at Shalimar station in Howrah, West Bengal, has chained down standing trains to the tracks today, so that when the cyclone hits tomorrow the Kolkata-bound trains will not be overturned due to strong winds.

According to railway officials: "We have faced such a type of situation in the past, so this time we are taking all types of precaution so as to avoid any mishap."

After Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Cyclone Feni will head towards West Bengal on 4th May . taking precautionary measures railway department had tied standing trains with tracks using chains at shalimar station in Howrah on 3rd May so that when cyclone hit tomorrow in kolkata train don't get overturn due to strong winds. According to railway official in past we have faced such type of situation so this time we are taking all type of precaution so to avoid any mishap
