The tradition of "Limau Barongge" welcomes Ramadhan 1440is a tradition that has been held for generations by the people of Sungai Pisang, through the results of deliberations and calculations of the Moon and Sea Tides, on Saturday (4/5) a tradition of Liming Baronggeh is held to welcome the holy month of Ramadhan which from their calculations the first fast falls on Sunday (5 / 5).

The tradition lasted for two days, namely on Friday (3/5) a joint meeting was held which was attended by Datuak, Niniak Mamak, Alim Ulama and other related parties as well as strengthening the relationship between tribes and residents on the RiverBanana.

Datuak Sari Marajo from the Chaniago River Sungai Pisang Tribe accompanied by Yurizal Kapalo Mudo and Community Leaders of the Karatu Datuak Rajo Gumanyang Sani Chaniago Tribe, said that, ahead of the coming of Ramadhan which falls tomorrow, Sunday (5/5) carry out the tradition"Baronggeh Limes" which has been held since before."This activity is carried out in the afternoon, as the preparations have been carried out long ago, both by collecting coconut leaves which will be boiled to form, as well as preparation of lime juice and so on, which will be paraded along the Pisang Sungai road"
