This is one of the rituals performed on festivals in goddess temples in the Southwest provinces of Vietnam. These women will use their heads and mouths to lift household items such as water jars, tables, chairs, bicycles, cups, etc. For the purpose of praying for peace, health, luck, fullness to everyone in the festival.
They use their mouths and heads to lift and balance the objects above their heads. Then they dance to the songs along with the objects on their heads. They try not to let things fall off their heads.
Women participating in the festival must have health and endurance. They have been practicing dance for a very long time to get their skills to use their heads.
