A video has emerged of a man saving a fox in western India. The incident took place on May 6 in Junnar city, located in Pune district of Maharashtra state.

Visuals showed a man feeding water to a fox, which could barely lift its body from the ground. The fox lay there and drank the water.

Reports said the distressed animal was first noticed by Anwar, who later informed the forest guard.

Visuals showed the man using a stick, keeping it close to the fox's throat, to prevent any untoward incident.

After gulping down a few sips of water, the quadruped finally stood on its leg.

It was then taken to a veterinary clinic. Though not clear, it is believed the fox suffered from dehydration as India is presently witnessing summer, period when temperatures reaches close to 45 degree Celsius and beyond in some parts of the nation.
