Further dramatic footage has emerged of police trying to control hundred of protesters at the Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush, London on Wednesday night.

The footage, captured by a man who got caught in the middle of the demonstration while out Christmas shopping with friends, shows protesters scuffling with police, chanting and waving placards.

76 arrests were made after an estimated 600 people gathered at the west London shopping centre and staged a “die-in” in solidarity with rallies in the US prompted by the death of Eric Garner.

“It was slightly worrying. Police were there forming a barrier then all of a sudden riot police swarmed in and shouted "wall down!" and then I saw them tackle a man to the ground” the filmer later wrote online.

Shops were closing their doors and locking people inside. It was a very intimidating experience and was quite scary.”
