Metropolitan Police watch on from the safety of their car as a swarm of bees land in the middle of the pavement in Edgware, London.

Hundreds of bees are seen crawling around on the coned off pavement as the police peer through their car windows.

Paddy, who filmed this bizarre video yesterday (May 7), told Newsflare: "I remember thinking that the current situation with the collapse of beehives must be really bad if the police are out protecting them.

"As far as I know, the bees were just on the pavement. The police were not doing much at all, just sat there bemused."

I've seen bees swarm before so I knew I was safe so just watched, I remember thinking that the current situation with the collapse of beehives must be really bad if the police are out protecting them then I went on to think what else could the police be doing instead of parking there for however long.. As far as I know the bees were just on the pavement. The police were not doing much at all, just sat there bemused.

As far as I'm aware it was just the pavement.
It's the time of year that bees swarm to establish a new hive, a new queen would have left the hive with some workers to go and find a new place.
