Climbers filmed the eruption of the Mount Sinabung volcano in Indonesia on Tuesday.

Groups making their way up a separate volcano called Mount Sibayak got an incredible view of the eruption which sent a massive column of ash and smoke 2,000 metres (6,500 feet) into the air, coating local villages in debris.

This is the moment of Mount Sinabung erupted on Tuesday morning 7 May 2019 which was recorded by Mount Sibayak climbers.

From the top of Mount Sibayak seen Mount Sinabung which erupted at 6.41 a.m spewed ash as high as 2000 meters into the air in a northeast direction.

The first eruption since May 2018 with the duration around 4 hours has resulting in four districts being badly affected by the ashes, that is Simpang Empat, Namanteran, Kabanjahe and Berastagi.

Officers and the local government said people within the 15-km radius, both locals and tourists, should be alert to the eruption.
