Cafe on Train street in Hanoi - Dangerous railtrack near homes

Buy video

The video captured in Ha Noi city, Viet Nam on May 12. An extremely interesting street, called “the train street”.

The Old Quarter section – this has cafes, homestay and shops along the tracks. They sell basic hot and cold drinks including smoothies and beers.

The Train street was very crowded and active, which contrasted with the old houses. People had several nationalities, from American, European, Korean, Southeast Asian, to Vietnamese. Many stores are established: coffee shops, souvenir shops, ao dai shops, and even a nail salon.

This is a crowded residential area in Hanoi that a speeding train passes straight through twice a day. The street is so narrow that all residents must ensure their bikes and precious personal belongings, are all safely inside the house before the train passes.

Visitors always pose along the tracks when no trains are coming which is fine.
