A man started a brawl in a restaurant in Long Beach, Los Angeles, on Sunday (May 12) after hurling racist remarks at customers and staff.

The man is heard calling another customer "monkey man" after being refused seating in the Aburi Sushi restaurant.

Ivan Velasco, who filmed this incident, told Newsflare: "He was visibly upset that he was not being seated, he didn't understand the modern waiting list. At this point, he has the attention of all the restaurant goers for his obnoxiously rude and loud behaviour.

"After a customer in the sushi restaurant tells the man to leave a shouting match ensues between them. The guy shouted racial remarks at them repeatedly, 'monkey man' while making chimpanzee gestures."

The racist remarks lead to a brawl involving the angry man, customers and staff ending in the racist being kicked out of the restaurant.

The man arrived at the restaurant like anyone else. I was seated just 10 mins before, after waiting 30 mins to be seated from a visible waitlist. The waitlist is done electronically, where you input the size of party and phone number. This way they text message you once it’s your turn to be seated (many people, like us, waited in our cars). Well this man had seen a party who was already waitlisted, get seated just a minute after he himself arrived at the restaurant. Didn’t settle well with him. He demanded to be seated, which the hostess appropriately responded and declined. Informing him there were no tables available. The man wasn’t taking no for an answer, so he stomps over to the only open spot at the bar. The hostess clearly said the bar wasn’t clean yet, as the patrons before had JUST left. He then continues to complain about them not being seated and a “b*llshit” waitlist. During this time, he’s being extremely rude, disrespectful and using profane language toward the wait staff. At one point calling the hostess a “dumb b*tch” for requesting him again to wait to be seated.

As seen, he is visibly upset that he’s not being seated (he doesn’t understand the modern waitlist). At this point, he has the attention of all the restaurant goers for his obnoxiously rude and loud behaviour. I pull out my phone and begin recording. For my safety, and to document the inexcusable behavior buy the man. He looks directly at me with the phone in my hand recording. Attempts to intimidate by very clearly shouting “f*cking look over there b*tch!”. Immediately after another patron in the Sushi joint responds by telling him to GTFO. A shouting match ensues between the guy (white) and two other patrons (Black). You can hear the white guy shouting racial remarks at them repeatedly, “Monkey Man” while making chimpanzee gestures. This got the two patrons riled up, even more so another patron (Black Female) who was at first attempting to deescalate the situation. The white male then charges at the two male black patrons, being help back by onlookers and wait staff. This is when the Black Female lands 5, yes FIVE clean shots to the white males face. Immediately followed by some cheers from all inside the restaurant. After the punches, the woman settled back down to her table w/ her SO while the white male continued his commotion outside. Cops were called. Allegedly, the white male was charged with 4 Citations while the Hero (Black female) charged with 1 Citation.

*PS. Shoutout to the Hostess, kept her cool as best she could and even covered our payed for our her meal after the deserved beat down she gave the racist.
