Several manhole covers were filmed "dancing" on a highway due to gas leaking in southern China.

The unusual clip, captured in Guilin City in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on May 13, shows several manhole covers on the same section of a road moving up and down.

According to reports, the natural gas leaking out of the pipes caused the moving of the manhole covers. More than 20 maintenance staff were working on site already to address the issue.

5月13日上午早上9时许，在桂林市高新万达广场二号门环城南一路与骖鸾路交叉口，多个路面井盖出现异常弹跳，并有气体往外冒。

　　从现场拍摄的视频可以看到，燃气泄漏的气体让路上的井盖都不停地跳动，看起来有些吓人。

　　随后了解到，该路段发生天然气泄漏，桂林新奥燃气公司已派出20多名维修人员赶往现场维修，截至当天上午11时30分，维修人员已经进行开挖作业，具体修复时间暂时无法确定。

　　事发后，交警部门第一时间到达现场，拉起警戒线对附近路段实行封闭。同时，为确保施工维修及附近道路安全，桂林市公安局交警支队下发紧急通知，对相关路段进行交通管制。

此外，为确保施工安全，供电部门已对天然气泄露附近区域进行停电检修，骖鸾路附近的如兰乔圣菲、天街等多个小区及商圈均及时向业主发布紧急停电通知。
