old lighthouse
the lighthouse in the city of Padang, West Sumatra is old. was founded by the Dutch in the early 20th century. Its construction coincided with the construction of the teluk bayur port.
This lighthouse keeps the shipping flow in and out of the port. it is only 10 m high but is on a hill that is 200 m high above sea level.
This lighthouse has a spectacular view. islands in the southern city of Padang can be seen from above the lighthouse. all ship and port movements are clearly visible. especially if it's late afternoon.
This lighthouse is maintained by 4 officers. care for lights and house lights is done carefully. the lens drive mechanism is still very good.
