A girl dropped to her knees in tears outside her Rhode Island home when she was greeted by her dream puppy after a year of begging her parents.

The mother said her daughter "would leave notes/letters around the house stating in detail how she deserves a puppy", and even left a note saying how she envisioned herself being greeted by the pup, who she would call Stella, in the driveway after school.

The parents decided to fulfil their daughter's dream and caught it in this magical moment filmed on May 13.

Tanner has asked for a puppy for more than a year. She would leave notes/letters around the house stating in detail how she deserves a puppy. She detailed in one letter to us how she would receive her puppy. “I envision myself pulling up on the bus after school and you be standing in her driveway with Stella”. We would never tell her we saw them. They would disappear and never be talked about. After a year, we fulfilled her “dream”!
