*RAW FOOTAGE* SURPRISING GREAT GRANDMA WITH NICU HOMECOMING
My grandma, Leona, pretty much raised me. She is my very best friend and has always gone above and beyond for her family. When I went into labor with my second, I dropped my toddler off at her house around midnight. We weren't expecting to have the baby since I wasn't full term yet. 2 hours later, Bridger was born and at only 4 hours old he was flown to a nicu 6 hours away. She didn't get the chance to see him before he was flown out, but I called her daily to update on his progress. They eventually set up a camera for family and friends to see him and she was ecstatic to see her great grandson that way. We were originally told to expect a 2-4 week nicu stay due to his issues which included Respiratory distress, sepsis, kidney disorder and prematurity. He turned around quickly, much quicker then anyone expected! Instead of telling my grandma the good news, I decided to wait until we were home and surprise her in person. The day after he got home, we drove to her house and walked through her backdoor. Her reaction was exactly what I was expecting. She was so, so happy and of course, wasn't expecting it! It was so hard to keep it from her but worth it!
