Alleged DUI Driver Causes Major Crash, One Patient Critical Another Severely Injured
Hemet Fire Department along with Cal Fire responded to a major crash involving two vehicles. Arriving crews located a dark grey Nissan sedan with major driver side damage and a grey Honda sedan with major front end damage. The driver of the Nissan was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition, the female passenger was transported with serious injuries to a local hospital. The driver of the Honda was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. The traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Hemet Street, an intersection notorious for major crashes.
