The brother of a man missing from, west London, has told Newsflare detectives don’t believe a body found in a burnt out this week is missing Heston man, Mohammed Shar Subhani.

He’s known to his family as Shah Khan.

Ali told a Newsflare reporter on Tuesday that he thought the discovery in Feltham was Shar.

The 27-year-old was reported missing to police by his family shortly before midnight on Tuesday (May 7).

They stated he had last been by them seen leaving his home address in Heston at around 12:15 pm that same day. He was described as wearing navy blue, Puma tracksuit bottoms, a navy blue short sleeved t-shirt and light grey Nike Air Max trainers.

He travelled to High Street, Acton where he was seen at approximately 13:45 pm.

Police say a well-resourced investigation run by officers based at the West Area Command Unit continues with enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of Mohammed’s disappearance.

They have been provided with assistance by specialist officers from the Serious and Organised Crime unit.

Scotland Yard says Mohammed’s family are in close contact with the police and are being kept updated with any significant developments.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Bingley, from West Area CID, said: “Mohammed’s disappearance is out of character and it has now been over two weeks since he was last seen.

“The longer he is missing, without any contact from him, the more concerning the situation has become.

“Officers retain an open mind about the circumstances and, while at this time there is no evidence to suggest Mohammed has come to any harm, we are continuing to pursue a number of lines of enquiry. Understandably, Mohammed’s family is desperate for news.

“I would urge anyone with information about Mohammed’s whereabouts, or movements, to call police immediately and help end his family’s anguish.”

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC quote 19MIS017114.

To give information anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.

Two people have been arrested in connection with this ongoing enquiry.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 14 May and later bailed to return to a police station on a date in mid-June.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, 18 May on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to murder and possession of drugs; he has also been bailed to date in mid-June.

Officers retain an open mind about the investigation and continue to pursue a number of lines of enquiry; at this stage this has not been declared a murder investigation.
