Hundreds took to the streets in London to call on the Government to take action on climate change.

Footage shows protesters gathering around Nelson's column in Trafalgar Square today (May 24).

More than 100 protests have been held in towns and cities across the UK, according to the UK Student Climate Network (UKSCN).

Many school students can be seen protesting for climate change.

Today was Fridays for Future in London and around the world a movement created by climate activist Greta Thunberg.

In this video you can see many young people climbed onto Nelson’s Column where you can hear them shouting many different chants towards the government and those who are not making a change. Very vulgar language can be heard in some of the chanting. Many can be seen holding different signs relate to global warming and climate change.

There were many young people from all backgrounds and ages who took part in this demonstration.

The weather was very nice.
