Thousands of school children skipped school to fight climate change on the streets of London on 24 May.

These rowdy kids were filmed shouting "Hey Hey! Ho Ho! This climate change has got to go!" at a line of police officers.

Brandishing colourful signs with slogans such as "Stop Climate Change" these young activists showed no shyness when screaming in the faces of stoic police.

According to the UK Student Climate Network more than 100 protests have been held in towns and cities across the UK,.

Footage shows a group of school children behind a police line protesting climate change.

The filmer also captures the police line suddenly breaking away and walking off leaving the protesters to continue their peaceful, yet raucous, protest.

I am not sure what was going on but as I arrived someone had be carted off in a police van and a young person was shouting at the police.

This was outside parliament opposite to parliament square where this happened. This was during the school strike for climate change a movement started by climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Many police officers can be seen around young climate activists in hi-vis police uniforms.
